My 1998 Rodeo Transmission Fluid is filled, by removing a filler nut on one side of the transmission (from below) .. with the other filler nut removed on the other side. When the fluid flows out, it is full. This is what a local service station told me. For a few years Rodeo's did not have a filler in the engine compartment.
it goes in the dip stick tube.
overheating? Low fluid level? Plugged filter? Bad pump?
You can go to the dealership and they have a specific fluid, or you can use 10w30 engine oil (either is stated in the factory service manuel)
The Rodeo tranny is completely internal, so you can either go to a dealer/shop to change it, or find a pump of some kind to fill through the overflow hole on the right side of the tranny body. Not the best design.
automatic? id its an auto then you need to go to an auto parts store and pick up some transmission fluid that says on it that its ok for Chrysler products, as some manufacturers require different kinds of fluid. if it says its for Chrysler, then that's the kind you need.
how do i fill up the transmission fluid
In the transmission.
yes it can my 91 rodeo 3.1 v6 has that problem as we speak, tranny light flashing and in limp mode
just go buy tranny fluid
Transmission fluid doesn't go into the engine.
The 2 lines that come from the transmission and go to the radiator are full of transmission fluid and the radiator is what cools it.
The same place the transmission fluid dipstick is. Be sure that you actually need to add fluid or you can cause serious damage to your transmission.
