In cones, female cones produce the seed and male cones produce the pollen
meiosis
TO PRODUCE SEX CELLS involved in the production of offspring
cells undergo meiosis to produce gametes which are also called your "sex" cells
The seminiferous tubules in the testes of the male reproductive system produce sex cells. These sex cells are called sperm.
4 sex cells.
Cells which produce gametes (sex cells) undergo meiosis.
That is how things were designed. Females produce egg cells and males produce sperm cells. When the sperm cells join with an egg cells in the female's fallopian tubes (and later in the uterus), pregnancy usually occurs. Despite how fun sex may be, and despite the number of people who have sex with members of the same sex, the primary purpose of sex is to produce offspring.
Sex cells are spermatozoa. Sex organs are the penis, testicles and various glands that secrete fluid in addition to the sperm released from the testes to produce semen.
These are the interstitial cells.
