So as he was sailing to Greenland, his ship got blown off course and ended up in North America. He was the first European to set foot on this ground but he wasn't the first to see it. Leif Eriksson was born in 960 A.D. in Iceland. Leif was the son of the famous explorer, Erik the Red. But Leif was not an only child, he had two brothers, Torvald and Torstein, and Torvald is famous (but not as famous as Leif). Leif's childhood he had a shall (a slave like person), but he treated him like a brother and they did almost everything together. Around the age of ten, Leif had to move to Greenland because his father was banned from Iceland and he couldn't move to Norway because his father was previously banned from there to. Also at the age of ten, he got a very expensive dagger, which he kept all the time and never lost.

The baby will grow into a child but never an adult. You can't make her/him grow up but (s)he should take about 3 days sim time. Id you hold down the R1 button it will speed time up, but other than that nothing will speed it up. --JBiebzx :D

As was tradition with the Vikings, Leif did not grow up with his family. Instead, when he was eight he moved in with a man named Thyrker. Thyrker was from Germany where Eric the Red had captured him, had taken him to Iceland, but had not enslaved him. Thyrker taught Leif everything he needed to know, including reading and writing runes, the Celtic and Russian tongue, and the ways of trade. Leif was also taught the old sagas, plant studies, and the use of weapons.
