The Russian Bloody Sunday took place in St.Petersburg mostly at the Narva Gates in front of the Tsar's Winter Palace. The demonstration moved to the Nevsky Prospekt, a street which could lead to the Palace, where more killing took place. There were massacres in other parts of St. Petersburg as well. One was at the Troitsky Bridge leading to the Peter and Paul Fortress, which was also sometimes used as a prison for political dissidents.
