Are you a guest, a noble, a child, or a servant? The nobles and guests would eat in the Great Hall, the host and his very special retainers and guests on a raised platform. Children would eat in their own quarters, overseen by their nurses or governesses. The servants would eat in the kitchen, except some of the outside servants (stable-keepers, dog and falcon tenders) who would eat with their charges.
