You cannot find that verse in The Bible. The Bible clearly states that when people die, they have no thoughts.

(Psalm 146:4) 4His spirit goes out, he returns to the ground; On that very day his thoughts perish.

(Ecclesiastes 9:5-6) .... 5For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing at all, nor do they have any more reward, because all memory of them is forgotten. 6Also, their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished, and they no longer have any share in what is done under the sun.

(John 11:11-14) 11After he said these things, he added: "Lazʹa·rus our friend has fallen asleep, but I am traveling there to awaken him." 12The disciples then said to him: "Lord, if he is sleeping, he will get well." 13Jesus, however, had spoken about his death. But they imagined he was speaking about taking rest in sleep. 14Then Jesus said to them plainly: "Lazʹa·rus has died,

However, that does not mean that death is the end of an individual. Jesus clearly taught that those that have died have paid the price for Adamic sin (passed on to all humans through Adam). And because of paying the price, they still have opportunities to live again - either in the heavens or on the earth.

When he was on earth, Jesus performed several resurrections. This not only demonstrated God's power (through Jesus) to resurrect the dead, but also his desire to undue the consequences of Adam's sin.

(John 5:28, 29) 28Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.

(Acts 24:15) ...And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.

(Revelation 20:12, 13) 12And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and scrolls were opened. But another scroll was opened; it is the scroll of life. The dead were judged out of those things written in the scrolls according to their deeds. 13And the sea gave up the dead in it, and death and the Grave gave up the dead in them, and they were judged individually according to their deeds.

In addition, through the New Covenant that Jesus instituted on the last night of his life on earth, there are many that will be resurrected into heavenly life to rule as kings and priests with him over the earth. These 144,000 members of the new "spiritual Israel" are the participants in the new covenant. But who will they rule over?

The rest of humans can still receive eternal blessings as members of the "other sheep".

(Luke 22:28-30) 28"However, you are the ones who have stuck with me in my trials; 29and I make a covenant with you, just as my Father has made a covenant with me, for a kingdom, 30so that you may eat and drink at my table in my Kingdom, and sit on thrones to judge the 12 tribes of Israel.

(Revelation 14:1-3) 14Then I saw, and look! the Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with him 144,000 who have his name and the name of his Father written on their foreheads. 2I heard a sound coming out of heaven like the sound of many waters and like the sound of loud thunder; and the sound that I heard was like singers who accompany themselves by playing on their harps. 3And they are singing what seems to be a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders, and no one was able to master that song except the 144,000, who have been bought from the earth.

(John 10:16) 16"And I have other sheep, which are not of this fold; those too I must bring in, and they will listen to my voice, and they will become one flock, one shepherd.

(John 5:28, 29) 28Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.

(Psalm 37:10, 11) 10Just a little while longer, and the wicked will be no more; You will look at where they were, And they will not be there. 11But the meek will possess the earth, And they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.

As a final thought, when Jehovah God created man on earth in the garden of Eden, he intended for man to be able to live forever. Adam was instructed to fill the earth he had all the animals in subjection to him. If Adam did not sin, where would he be today? Right here with us.

Just because Adam and Eve sinned, that did not change the purpose of the earth and humankind.

Through many covenants God made with people over the centuries, we were give a Messiah (Jesus), who came to save mankind. Through his death and resurrection, all who exercise faith in his teachings have the opportunity to benefit from the initial blessings promised to humankind.

Therefore, those living today may soon see the culmination of this process to restore humans to their original position with Almighty God, Armageddon. Many will survive Armageddon. Those who don't, have the opportunity to be resurrected and given a second chance to learn about Jehovah God and live under Jesus rule for all eternity.

What happened to lazarus in The Bible?

There are two Lazarus' in the Bible (Christian Gospel). One in a parable; is poor, dies, and goes to Heaven (while a selfish rich man dies and goes to Hades).
