The Bible does not say that "Baptist" is the way to go. The Bible is clear though, that we are to worship Jesus Christ, God's son. Any denomination that rejects Jesus Christ as Lord, and Saviour (writes him of as a prophet) is wrong. The Bible is clear that he is God's son, not a prophet. If you are going to believe the first four words of the Bible, don't discard the rest of the Book of Truth, because there is no fault in it, and it is from God.
Jesus challenges the Jewish leadership of his time and after his resurrection declares the church is built on the Rock of Peter the apostle who is recognized as the first pope of the Catholic Church. Division from challenges in the reformation led to Christian Churches such as Lutheranism in Germany and the Anglicans in England and later further divisions to Baptists and Anabaptist, Mennonites. Catholics remain but have also grown and changed with major changes in the 2nd Vatican council in the 1960's.
Modern Christianity has attempted to heal these rifts and many traditions are still shared among most Christian Churches. As each searches to be true to Christ and his message, all can benefit from their common scripture and the different traditions that key their faith alive and answering questions not literally mentioned in the biblical scriptures. Seek God as best you can and trust God to save.
