Jesus' teaching against "titles" is found in Matthew 23:8-12:
"But you, do not be called, 'Rabbi'; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brethren. Do not cal anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven. And do not be called teachers; for One is your Teacher, the Christ. But he who is greatest among you shall be your servant. And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted." [NKJV]
Several reasons 1. The pastor does not see it 2. The Pastor does not beleve it is wrong behaviour 3. The pastor holds a paid appointment and might loose his job if he spoke out 4. The pastor does see it and confronts it but nobody listens 4. The pastor has more serious issues to deal with Overall it depends on the relationship the Christian has with his bible. Is it a rule or living or are some parts applicable and others not.
Considering that this question is posted in "Cheating" you probably already know the answer.Just because someone is a pastor does not change the fact that he or she is married.Ask this: Would the pastor's spouse think it is OK? Please, please say this is a joke question. It is morally wrong to cheat with anyone, period. But with a pastor? You are not only helping betray the pastor's spouse, but the pastor's congregation as well.

Sounds like your pastor has lost the plot, I'm not trying to be disrespectful, but I think he needs to get a grip.
I am not entirely sure what you meant by this question, but I think you are asking who leads A pentecostal church rather than THE pentecostal church, but I could be wrong. A pentecostal church is lead by a Pastor who is usually selected by members of the church and has been ordained as a minister. My father is a Pentecostal minister. We attended the church before he was the pastor. The former pastor was asked to leave because of some personal issues and my father had just graduated from Bible College. My father was appointed as interim pastor which means they made him the pastor until they decided who would be the permanent one. Another man from the church also thought God wanted him to become the new pastor, so the church members voted and they chose my father. This may not be how every church does it. I do know of another church where the pastor died of old age and the assistant pastor became the new pastor, although I believe they still voted on it. HOWEVER!, if you were to ask my father who leads a pentecostal church, he would answer, without blinking and without a second thought,"God leads a pentecostal church". :)
Don't tell her she's wrong. Just tell her youdon't understand her viewpoint on a particular topic, explaining why your reasoning leads you to a different conclusion.

Might Be That The Lord Has Interceeded. In Other Words He May Have Another Place For You To Worship Him. Right Path, Wrong Church And Pastor. LEAVE THERE AND YOU WILL FIND WHERE HE WANTS YOU TO BE !! You'd have to ask the pastor for the real answer. One possibility, though, is that he doesn't feel you have accepted Christ. Baptism doesn't save you; turning your life over to Christ does. Baptism is a command to believers; it's really only appropriate '''after''' you are a Christian, not before. Depends on the church. Some want you to take classes about their practices and beliefs before you are baptised. If they didn't give you a reason, the answer is pretty simple: find a new church.
Some religions did not want the people to read the Bible for themselves because they were afraid that they would find out that that religion was teaching the wrong doctrines. And some times that is the case. No matter what church you attend it is a good idea to read and see God's word for yourself. The pastor may unintentionally make a mistake and therefore you may be led in the wrong direction, even though it was a mistake. It is a good thing if you make reading the Bible a habit. See the Word for yourself.
Despite the rumors surrounding Nashville pastor Bob Old (infamous for allegedly burning a Koran on September 11, 2010 as did Terry Jones of Gainesville on March 11, 2011), he did NOT die in any car crash or any accident. This is merely mis-information being spread by a text or email that many are receiving about Pastor Bob Old dying instantly and/or being found with a box of matches and a Qur'an in his glove compartment. As of 2015, his status is unknown.
It is not right to take communion in the state or mortal sin and a pastor should tell you that for your own spiritual good, or you would be commiting a greater sin by receiving your God in a sinful state, but as to getting right with your brother it depends on what the wrong is. I would assume the pastor has a reason for saying that as it is normal for humans to argue with one another on occassions. If i could not receive communion every time my sister and i fought... well we're sisters and dissagreements occur almost daily. forgiveness is key though and everyone craves reconciliation to one another. asking for forgiveness is a sign of humility and even if he doesn't, you should offer it sincerly. I forgive my sister for the wrongs she commits against me, with no grudge, I also ask for forgiveness when I realize i am wrong. I don't always get an answer, but my concience is clear and at peace. Goodluck!
