1. Corinthians 12:26: And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

The Apostle Paul is emphasizing that we are one body, composed of its members, just like the parts of our own physical body...

(previously) 1. Corinthians 12:21 And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.

We have this sense of independence from one another, today, and we detach ourselves with a "not my problem" attitude. We do not realize how important unity really is, especially if we are to serve God entirely. On the battlefield, it is essential for ultimate victory that all soldiers regard each other's lives as their own--otherwise they may fall, if they start thinking only of themselves or even just their closest comrades. The enemy wants to divide us in order to conquer us.

One other passage I would like to mention, Matthew 25:35-40:

For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. 37Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? 40And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

You see, there isn't really much that we can do for God directly. The only way that we can truly give to the Lord is by helping others...

And remember, Christ is the One who died for ALL.
