Wow what a great question. No where in the Word are we told to do this. The terms Binding and Loosening are terms that refer to "judgement" in the greek I believe.
Loose:
Original Word: λύω
Transliteration: luó
Phonetic Spelling: (loo'-o)
Short Definition: break up
Bind:
Original Word: δέω
Transliteration: deó
Phonetic Spelling: (deh'-o)
Short Definition: bind, bound
I believe here Christ is talking to Peter an apostle (Father of Fathers if you will) and speaking to him about authority in the spirit. We battle not against flesh and blood but against....
So something must take place in the spirit realm before the physical.
Check out Matthew 16 and Matthew 18. Read them and ask yourself who is Christ talking to? Why did He say this? What was the cultural relevance at the time>?
Great stuff!
I think also that's just something people like to pray and have no idea why. Revelations is the only place in the Word where we read that Satan will be bound. He goes throughout the earth like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. Doesnt sound like to me that we have any ability to Bind Satan. Hope this helps
Bible says Satan is a fallen angel, so must have wings.
Yes it will end because of Satan as we to are to blame for it, as it was Satan who got sin into the world in the garden of Eden. And the bible says the wages of sin is death. The bible also said slavery was ok.... just saying....
Satan wrote the bible
The book of Genesis says that the serpent was the most crafty of the animals. And Satan came in the form of the snake to tempt Eve.
Not anywhere. Satan is the father of lies from the beginning. God is truth, always.
The bible says in John10:10 that the devil came to steal, to kill, and to destroy. The bible also says that satan is a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour
This means that Satan makes wrong things appear harmless, or even desirable. He did this when he deceived Eve. So this scripture is saying that Satan is a master of disguise.
The name 'Satan' appears 55 times in the Bible.
Satin is a type of cloth. Satan is spelt like this - Satan, notice it has a capital letter because it is a name, a proper noun. I think there is no where in the Bible that says Satan will take over the world with music.
In the Christian Bible the Devil (Satan) is Lucas
No
Beelzebub is Satan
