Nowhere in The Bible

The summary of it all is :-

Pro 16:18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.

or, as the Good News has it:-

Pro 16:18 GNB Pride leads to destruction, and arrogance to downfall.

Satan rebelled against God because of his pride: he was beautiful to look at, multi-talented, very intelligent etc and he tried to overthrow God because he wanted the top job for himself.

Isa 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

Isa 14:13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

Isa 14:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

Isa 14:15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

Eze 28:12 Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus [ie Satan (see previous verses)], and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.

Eze 28:13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God;every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.

Eze 28:14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth;and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

Eze 28:15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

Eze 28:16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.

Eze 28:17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.

Eze 28:18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.

Eze 28:19 All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more.

Just as Satan rebelled against God because of his pride and arrogance, so it is with mankind - every single person who has ever lived has also rebelled against God because we all have the sin-nature passed on via Satan, and Satan was the reason sin entered the world.

The word "satan" means 'resister', and when it is used with the definite article "ha/has" (as in 'has-Satan') it means a specific person. The adversary/resister/slanderer, Satan the devil.

Satan first tempted Eve in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:1-5), effectively convincing her to listen to HIM instead of God(2 Corinthians 11:3/Acts 26:18). Then she convinced Adam to follow her example and he knowingly rebelled against God(Genesis 2:17/Genesis 3:6/1 Timothy 2:14). Satan lied about God (Genesis 3:4+5/Revelation 12:9/John 8:44)(2 Thessalonians 2:9)and ultimately brought sin and death to the now imperfect human family (Romans 5:12)(1 John 3:8)(Hebrews 2:14)(1 John 3:12) including sickness and suffering to untold millions through the centuries(Luke 13:10-13+16). In Job 1:6 to Job 2:8 we are given a picture of Satan as he does what he's come to be known for; causing pain and suffering to the human family and blaming it on God, in an attempt to turn them away from TRUE worship. In fact, the challenge was made by Satan that humans did not love God, and that no one would remain faithful if faced with difficuties. This challenge continues today (Luke 22:31)(2 Corinthians 2:11)(1 Peter 5:8) .

Satan, the devil, is also revealed at Matthew 4:1-11, where he's using the scriptures to try and tempt Jesus away from serving God.(Mark 1:13)

At Matthew 16:21-23 Jesus calls Peter a "satan" when Peter attempts to turn Jesus from his resolve to remain faithful to God till death. Because Peter, though unaware, had stopped thinking God's thoughts and started thinking in a fleshly way, he was acting like Satan would act, discouraging spiritual thinking. This shows that Satan can use ANY of us to cause discouragement to others if we're not careful to keep our thinking in alignment with God's.(Mark 4:14+15)(Mark 8:33)(Luke 22:3)(John 13:27)(Acts 5:3)(2 Corinthians 11:13-15)(1 Thessalonians 2:18)(1 Chronicles 21:1). At 2 Corinthians 4:4 and 1 John 5:19 Satan is spoken of as a 'god' who is 'ruling the world' (John 12:31)(Ephesians 2:1+2)(John 14:30)(John 16:11)(Acts 26:18)and Genesis 3:15, the first prophecy in the Bible, explains the rivalry that will exist on earth as Satan challenges God's sovereignty. Satan's end, however, is also prophesied (Romans 16:20)(Revelation 20:10).
