Samuel
Samson used the jawbone of an ass to kill Philistines. No weapon is mentioned in the story of Cain and Abel.
According to the Bible, Samson killed 1,000 men with the jawbone of an ass. This event is recorded in the Book of Judges, chapter 15.
God raised up Samson from the womb as a Nazirite to begin the deliverance of Israel from the Philistines. It was only a beginning as the Israelites and the Philistines fought for many years. God gave Samson great physical strength to fight against the Philistines and he alone killed thousands.
Samson killed the lion on the road to Timnah in the Old Testament, in the book of Judges.
Yes, but Samson would get badly injured if he did.
Samson lived in the latter part of the time of the judges. Samson was a judge. (not a judge like we have today, but a judge in that time period delivered Israel out of the hand of their enemies and brought them closer to God.) We are told in Judges 16:4b "....... that He (God) was seeking an occasion to move against the Philistines. For at that time the Philistines had dominion over Israel". God raised up Samson to incite war against the Philistines. The Philistines had taken over parts of Israel and were treating the people very badly. God wanted this to stop. Samson was the first Judge to encounter the Philistines. It was not until the time of David that the Philistines were defeated badly enough to stop being a power against Israel. Samson's basic area of war against the Philistines was Zorah, which was in the territory of the Tribe of Dan. If you will recall it was David as a lad before he became King who took his sling and 5 smooth pebbles (Rocks) and put one between the eyes of Goliath who was a mercenary of the Philistines.
A fresh jawbone of a male donkey. Judges 15: 14-16.
Most likely. Samson didn't intend on killing himself. God wanted him to kill the Phillistines.
About 3000 at the time of his death, Judges 16:30, 1000 with a jawbone of an donkey, Judges 15:15, 30 men in Judges 14:19, a great slaughter (unknown number but less than 1070), Judges 15:8 This makes a minimum of 4030 + the unknown number Or a maximum of 5999
Samson is the one who is recorded in the Bible as having killed a lion with his bare hands.
