I am not aware of any scripture verses that deal directly with suicide.
Will those who commit suicide go to hell? I don't know. I do know that in scripture we are told that believers are the "temple of the Holy Spirit," as each believer is in-dwelt with the Spirit. To take one's life as a believer would clearly be an assault against the Temple of the Holy Spirit. But this would have to mean that murdering a believer would bring the same judgment, whatever the judgment is. We do know that murder can be forgiven, even murder of believers, or Paul would not have been chosen as an Apostle by Christ.
It's a great question and I'm sure many have strong opinions about it. I just do not see anywhere in scripture that deals directly with suicide. It would be so sad to learn of a believer that took their own life. I know a woman who was a believer who took her own life. Nothing could be said to help her see the positive in life. At least not enough to keep her from suicide. She could not accept God's love because of childhood abuse. The anguish she endured was horrific.
No one except the God knows about it...There is no bible verse that say suicide equals hell but there is strong emphasis in the bible that a person who suicide will receive strong judgment by God. In my opinion, don't ever put ourself in that situation...
The ten commandments: 6.thou shalt not kill
Yes you go to Hell it is a sin to kill yourself if you are a child of God then the urge to kill yourself shold not be there. Again it is a sin and so stated in the Bible.
There is absolutely no mention in the Bible of suicide being an unforgivable sin. Some religious groups have suggested that suicide is somehow unforgivable, but if God is a God of love, and if a person is so desperate, depressed, unhappy or in dispair that the only way out is death, then I am pretty certain that God's love and compassion would reign over any man-made rule or assumption.
Firstly life isgods gift, not meant to be ended by suicide. It takes courage to commit suicide , but only cowards commit suicide, do not throw this life so easily . God gives life and god takes life. Those who commit suicide will go to hell.
The Bible is the written word of God and gives the key to salvation from Hell.
People who commit suicide go to Hell. The Roman Catholic Church teaches that suicide is a sin that a person cannot repent of, and that a person who commits suicide is guilty of not trusting God to provide for his or her circumstances. Self-sacrifice to save the life of others is not regarded as suicide. Most other denominations don't have any dogmatic beliefs about suicide because it is not plainly discussed in the Bible.
The Bible does not give a direct answer on suicide, but it does say God knows the issues of the heart. With that said I would say it comes down to salvation. If the person is truely saved and life's problems cause them to turn to suicide rather than Jesus, then only God knows.
They go to hell. Unless they believe in god. Then they probably go to heaven.
God said that even one sin was enough to condemn you to hell. Thus God said there was a hell. So the question could be is their proof in God. There is proof in creation, historical proof in the Bible and that Jesus was a man.
Nowhere; that is not in the Bible. Maybe another religious text, but not the Bible. That I KNOW for sure that is not in the Bible if that is what you were referring to....
God will send the evil ones who are condemed to hell to burn forever in the fire.
Jesus spoke more about heaven than hell in the Bible. He taught about the kingdom of God, eternal life, and the importance of our relationship with God. While he did also mention the concept of hell, his primary focus was on the love and salvation offered by God.
That decision is up to god. Just trust him to decide whatever is best.
