Where in the bible does it say take back what the devil stole?

That is a good question. I have looked that question up in the Strong's Concordance and have not found the answer that I thought I would have. However, the closest I could come so far to answer that is:

Jesus said, And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear (Matt 11:12-15 KJV).

I do agree that if the devil has stolen something, especially if it is a soul who has fallen away that we should command the devil to take his hands off and release him back to God. That is our earthly authority as Christians. We should also ask God to change the person's mind to line up with His Word, His Will, and His Ways.

My heart goes out especially to the lost because the devil has NO greater punishment for God's creation than to steal God's people (creation) and blind human beings from finding the knowledge of Jesus Christ.

The Holy Bible does say regarding a person who has stolen:

So he that goeth in to his neighbour's wife; whosoever toucheth her shall not be innocent. Men do not despise a thief, if he steal to satisfy his soul when he is hungry; But if he be found, he shall restore sevenfold; he shall give all the substance of his house (Prov 6:29-31 KJV).

The Bible is clear that the devil comes to steal kill and destroy too.

I don't recommend taking something back from someone if they have stolen it unless you have the proper governmental authority to take it back, if it is a material item. If it is a material item, just pray and ask God to intervene and ask him to have the person give it back, which sometimes God doesn't do. Our lesson during those times is to forgive and also to hold accountable. Then hold accountable and forgive... This is the best I can answer this question because I too have looked up the references under stole, stolen, steal, stealing, steals - and I do not find a scripture quickly. It may however be in a different example in the scriptures not using the exact words stole or stolen.

If you have taken something from someone and can give it back, then you should probably give it back. Confess, repent, and do your best...
