In the Old Testament bool of Leviticus, chapter 19 verse 18 it says, "Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against one of your people, but love your neighbor as yourself.

In Matthew 19:19 Jesus says, "honor your father and mother, and love your neighbor as yourself."

Romans 13:10 says, Love does no harm to its neighbor.

This passage is found in Luke 10:29.

While Jesus used the parable of the "Good Samaritan" to answer the question -- Jonny Hart, the author of the cartoon strip "BC" answers it more simply:
