There is no reference in The Bible which declares that "all people" will go to heaven. Matthew 13:47-50 states that the angels will come and take the wicked away from the righteous, and throw them into a burning fire. Not a place anybody wants to be thrown into, so how does one "go to heaven?"

John 3:16, Romans 10:9-10, John 14:6, etc...

Answer:

Jesus Christ says that "no man, except Himself, has ever gone to heaven [meaning the "third heaven" of His Father's throne] - John 3:13. And nowhere in the KJV Bible is the phrase: "go to heaven."

The only statement in the Bible that comes close to saying it emanates from the heart of Satan:

"...for thou hast said in thine heart, I WILL ASCEND INTO HEAVEN..." (Isa.14:13).

The divided denominations of modern professing Christianity have no corner on the religious market of believing in "going to heaven." Going to some type of heaven or other is an integral part of most [if not all] of the religions in the world.

It only makes sense that since Satan is the god of this world, that its religions incorporate his heartfelt desire.

The promise of God's Word, the Bible, is that those whose faith is in Jesus Christ find themselves adopted into Abraham's family, become his children -- and that it's the promises God made to Abraham that his children shall inherit:

"...if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise." (Gal.3:29)

Jesus never promised Abraham "heaven." He promised him "LAND!" The "Promised Land" -- the EARTH!

"...For the promise, that he should BE THE HEIR OF THE WORLD, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith." (Rom.4:13)

The Bible promises "the earth"... not heaven. But it doesn't promise it to "everyone." It promises it to those who will bow to the Creator of the universe, Jesus Christ ['...all things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made...']... and freely CHOOSE to obey Him:

"...but those Mine enemies, which WOULD NOT THAT I SHOULD REIGN OVER THEM, bring hither, and SLAY THEM BEFORE ME." (Luke 19:27)

That's hardly the Jesus that the Christ-professing denominations of this world would recognize when they see Him... those who think He's coming to take them to heaven. But then, they don't believe most of what He says, anyway:

"...no man hath ascended up to heaven, but He that came down from heaven, even the Son of Man which is in heaven." (John 3:13)

The popular belief and hope of the religions in the world, to "go to heaven" isn't in the Bible... except as the main hope and aspiration of Satan the Devil, the god of this world.

Satan has planted his own selfish desires in the religious doctrines of the world and in hearts of deceived men, who have been worshiping him since Adam and Eve chose to obey and worship him in the Garden of Eden.

A straightforward response:It doesn't. The Bible is very clear throughout, and Jesus specifically reiterated, that the inheritors of eternal life will constitute a minority.

Matthew 7:13, 14 - "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it." [NKJV]

in the kingdom of God.

Another Answer:

The Hebrew word for soul is 'nephesh' and this is simply the breath of life that is in all living creatures like animals too.

Most commonly, Scripture refers to death as 'sleeping' and awaiting their call to Judgement.

What King James bible say about praying for souls of the dead?

Answer:The question is based on the belief in the false doctrine of "the immortality of the soul" [that within all men is an "immortal soul"]... which the Bible doesn't teachBut, nowhere in the Bible does it say that "man HAS A SOUL IN HIM." It says that man "IS" a soul. A living, breathing mortal creature. The Bible further reveals that when "souls DIE"... they're DEAD, not living. They're unconscious, in a dreamless, dormant "sleep" from which they shall one day re-awaken [resurrect] and live again to face Judgment. In any case... the Bible teaches "praying for the living" not the dead. We can't do anything for the unconscious, unknowing dead by praying for them... but we may be able, through heartfelt prayer, to bring living, breathing, sinning people to "repentance" and "salvation."Nowhere does the Bible teach "praying for dead souls."
