Thus when Venus is between the Earth and the Sun or behind the Sun you will not see it, you only see it when it is one side of the sun or the other. Depending on which side of the Sun it is you look towards where the sun will rise or set, just before sunrise or just after sunset. If it is there you can not fail to see it it is VERY bright.
