Many pet stores sell mice as feeders or pets. Most commonly seen are pink-eyed whites, but you may see other colors if the mice are primarily being sold as pets. These are often called "fancy mice" in the pet store.

You may also have domestic mouse breeders around you, and don't forget to check your local shelter for adoptable homeless mice!

You can keep a mouse in a in a small bird cage as long as you assure the bars are very small so that the mouse cannot fit through. Another place to keep them could be in a plastic fish tank but make sure it is kept warm but not to hot as a fish tank could get cold. If you keep them in a fish tank assure that there are holes or something so that they can breath. No matter what you keep them in fill the bottom with something warm like saw dust or shredded news paper for warmth.

P.S keep there enclosure some where other pets will not be able to get them like a dog or cat.
