A faulty fuel relay can cause a 1999 Lincoln continental to stall. If the relay is not properly reading the fuel it will turn the car off.

I have not worked on a Lincoln, but most Ford vehicles have the relay on the drivers side in the trunk. I hope this helps you. Mark If it is not in the trunk check the drivers side between the front and rear doors.
The fuel pump on a 2000 Lincoln Continental 4.6 is located inside the fuel tank. It sends fuel from the tank to the fuel injectors.
On a 1998 Lincoln Continental : The ELECTRIC fuel pump is installed through an access hole on the top of the fuel tank ( the fuel pump is INSIDE the fuel tank )
