In a 1997 Ford Explorer : The fuel pump shut off switch ( inertia switch ) is in the front passenger footwell , by ( or behind ) the kick panel
Yes it does.
Try either left side of trunk area or the front kick panels
its in the trunk turn switch off and back on
On a 1997 Ford Aerostar : The fuel pump shut off switch ( inertia switch ) is in the front passenger footwell , behind the kick panel * the kick panel is the interior trim panel , just in front of the front door , by the persons feet
It doesn't have one. That is a Ford thing.
if it is the same as my 97 it is in the trunk on the drivers side.
On them model s10s there is no fuel cut off switch, maybe try checking the fuel pump relays and or make sure that the pump is getting power
Dodge does not use inertia/reset switches.
In the right front passenger footwell , by the kick panel
Fuel cut off/ Inertia switches are a Ford/ Mazda feature only. The only type of fuel shut off switch on a 97 Malibu is the ignition lock and key. If you're trying to find this switch because the car won't start and it has no fuel pressure then its not too unlikely that the fuel pump may be bad. They die all the time on Malibu, Alero and Grand Am.
On a 1997 Mercury Sable : The fuel pump shut off switch ( inertia switch ) is located on the passenger side of the trunk , behind the trunk liner ( there is an access hole )
