EEC Module is mounted on the wall under the hood on the driver side.
I just learned something ! That the EEC computer and the powertrain control module are the same thing ! On the 1991 and 1992 models the powertrain control module (PCM) is located in the right front passenger area behind the right side kick panel.
There should be an EEC TEST connection in the engine compartment somewhere near the battery or Power Distribution Box ( OBD I / EEC IV )
On a 1985 Ford Bronco, the Electronic Engine Control (EEC) module is typically located on the passenger side of the engine compartment, near the firewall. It's mounted on a bracket and may be covered by a plastic shield. This module controls various engine functions and communicates with other components, including sensors and actuators. If you're having issues, it's essential to ensure that the connections to the EEC are secure and free from corrosion.

Yes, the 1983 Ford Pickup has a computer called an EEC or Electronic Engine Control. The EEC is a rectangular shaped box connected to the distributor. Look for a thick wire coming off the side of the distributor and trace it back to the EEC module. Some of them are located by the battery and some are under the dash. It depends on the style of pickup for that year.
The EEC test connector is in the engine compartment in front of the power distribution box (Helpfull)
On a 1992 Mercury Cougar ( which is OBD I , EEC IV ) There should be an EEC TEST connection in the engine compartment
A 1994 Ford Explorer is EEC-IV / OBD I ( there is an EEC test connection in the engine compartment near the power distribution box )
