There is no grave for George Bass, as a grave marks the location of the remains of a dead person. No remains of George Bass have ever been recovered.
After his exploration with Flinders, George Bass left the Navy to become a South Pacific trader, and early in February 1803, he sailed the ship 'Harrington' out of Sydney Harbour with a cargo, bound for Tahiti. Bass was never heard of again, and his fate remains unknown. Bass is believed to have died at sea in 1803.
