Gleed was a water stop on the original AT&SF Railroad Mainline. Both Gleed and the old mainline were abandoned when the new alignment was opened in 1960. It was located about halfway between Seligman and Ashfork Arizona and a mile or two north of old Route 66. (Crookton Rd.)
