It starts in "Little Whinging," a fictional district in Surrey, England, and travels to Ottery St. Catchpole, which is also fictional but based on a real location (I think Ottery-On-The-Marsh), then London, a number of other destinations around England, and ends at Hogwarts, with an epilogue in King's Cross Station, London. Basically, the only way to describe it is to say that it is in England and Scotland (as Hogwarts is located there)
Well... I'm from the Highlands of Scotland and most of the set looks to be from there. Harry Potter is often filmed in Scotland (probably because the mountain scenery makes it look cool. There are also scenes filmed in England, I think the bit where Harry and Hermione are on the edge of a cliff with their tent was filmed at Dover. Not sure though.
The Deathly Hallows was set between July 1997 and May 1998. There were several locations including the Dursley's home, the Tonk's home, the burrow, Grimmauld Place, a diner, in the woods, Shell Cottage, Malfoy Manor, Gringotts, Tottenham Court Road, Bathilda Bagshot's Home, Godric's Hollow, Hogwarts Castle, Hogsmeade, and the Hog's Head Inn.
The epilogue was set September 1st, 2017 at Platform 9¾ in King's Cross Station.
