There is no such thing as shiny gold version there is heartgold version for ds and gold version for ds and game boy advanced and jasmine is the 6th gym leader she is in olovine city the 3rd gym leader is at either goldenrod city or the city after that"
this person has no idea what he or she is talking about. shiny gold is a hacked rom of Pokemon gold version with an improved graphics engine which I'm sure the questioner knows but this was to inform others that there is in fact a shiny gold version.
in regards to the question at hand the third gym leader is Whitney of golden rod city. the badges just appear out of order.

∙ 14y agoStart at the lighthouse in Olivine City. Go up 3 flights of stairs. Go to the window 2 steps down and 6 steps right.Now you are on the beacon.Go up 3 flights of stairs. Now you are with Jasmine and the sick Ampharos named Amphy.She unlocks the door and tells you to get a special medicine in Cianwood City.You need HM Whirlpool to get to Whirl Islands and HM Surf to get to Cianwood and obviosly Whirl Islands. In Cianwood talk to everyone and most will be talking about Lugia, but, one house is a pharmacy and one person gives you HM Fly and Fly back to Olivine. And go through the elevator to get to the top.Talk to Jasmine. When she leaves, she goes to the Olivine Gym.Beat her.Now you have 6 or 7 out of 16.Good Job!And there are over 20 trainers but some you can Dodge(only lighthouse trainers CAN NOT be dodged).
