Schwarzenburg is a town in the district of Erzgebirgskreis in Saxony's Ore Mountains in Germany near the German-Czech border. The town lies roughly 15 km southeast of Aue & 35 km southwest of Chemnitz. The communities that border on the town are Gruhain-Beierfeld in the northeast, Raschau in the east, Breitenbeunn and Sosa in the south & Bockau and Lauter in the west.
