I was recently (in February 2009) looking for a dermatologist in the Acadiana area that accepted Medicaid. While calling around to several dermatology offices, I was referred to the LSU Surgical Clinic on Perkins Rd in Baton Rouge. They are a division of Earl K Long Hospital. The number is 1-225-768-5700. I just called and verified that they took Medicaid, then was able to set the appointment. I did have to wait a month for an appointment, and I drove 1 1/2 hours, but the staff was very friendly. NOTE: Medicaid does not pay for prescriptions that are for "cosmetic" benefits, so your medications may not be covered. Hope that helps!
