Anywhere on a river where there is a quick moving current.
We get electric power from falling water, and that will last when into the foreseeable future. Hydroelectricity is a renewal energy and has almost no pollution, once the dam is built.
The water itself, fish, hydro-electricity etc.
in its solid form, no. but dissolved in water, yes.
Hydro-electricity floods valleys and sometimes good arable land. The dams cause problems for fish migration. On the positive side, the electricity generated is clean and emission free, so there are fewer greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.
Hydro-electricity is generally considered good for the environment as it produces electricity without emitting greenhouse gases. However, it can have negative impacts on local ecosystems and wildlife, particularly if not managed sustainably. Balancing the benefits and drawbacks of hydro-electricity is important in assessing its overall environmental impact.
If hydro power is available, go for it. Most places don't have enough water or height to produce much hydro though. I hope nobody has built nuclear where hydro is available.
it is a renewable source of energy and it can be made from polluted water also.you can also check yahoo! for the answer
How is Hydroelectricity Effective Hydro electricity is good because it is natural and it produces no harm to the earth. It comes naturally and it should. The only problem is that it produces not much electricity. By:Itzjajon
Hydro power is usually installed along with a large dam or barrage which is built across a suitable point of a river to form an artificial lake. A good example in the US is the Boulder or Hoover dam on the Colorado River near Las Vegas. Some countries have developed a lot of hydro because they have suitable sites, like Canada, Norway, and New Zealand. In the US hydro produces about 7 percent of electricity.
Hydro electricity is good because water is all around us. This means that we do not need to change the entire landscape dramatically. Next we have the fact that it is cheaper due to the fact that at one time there are very little personnel on the floor resulting in lower costs for the customers. Now I look at the structure of the dams they use. The dams are strong and some built hundreds of years ago are still in use today. There are also low emissions, however, the emissions are only from the building process. Finally I turn to how much power hydro-electricity makes. With the amount of dams we have today we could power the world two times over! And for all those tax payers and people that want to keep their money, going to hydro electricity is a very good decision to make.
Antarctica is a place where there is very speedy winds blowing.....therefore building of windmills there is a very good idea for generating as there are many centres opened by countries for research purposes....so this electricity will provide electricity to them more easily and cheaply
the good thing about hydro energy is that water (hydro) is all around us so we will pretty much never run out of it. the bad thing is it's hard to control
