I would include a trip to Anseremme/Dinant and visit the citadel. Depending on what time of year you are there you can also go kayaking on the river - what a wonderful time! Great little restaurant around the corner from the Ibis hotel. If you like history, I think you should defenently visit Brussels, Gent, Bruges, Antwerp. you should visit Limburg or the Ardennes when you like nature. You can also do a mix of both.
I believe that cathedrals are extremely popular over there but people actually just go there for the weed, hash and generally to get really stoned or high same thing. I have not particularly been to Amsterdam as I am to young but once I am 18 I will go because I am a true stoner (power to the people). So basically go to the coffee shops I would say go to De Dampkring. My brother has been there and he loved it but he did say it was quiet expensive and crowded but so worth it because they have all the best grass there. He said that you should get the pre-rolled joints. I hope I helped you?
