the fuel pump relay for a 1987 jeep xj is the second relay in from the fron on the passenger side of the engine compartment.
The Jeep has a TDC sensor on the bell housing that tells the computer when the distributor is at top dead center (TDC). If it is inop the jeep will not run
First of all you haave a super old car second i recomend you get to a auto repair before you get into any serious action
Low or empty of freon will cause the compressor not to run.
i have an 88 Comanche and mine is on the driver side underneath the headlights, almost in the wheelwell
On my 87 Comanche, Interior of the Cab drivers side fuse box long silver circuit breaker at the bottom of the fuse box. By long I mean rectangular as opposed to round. It is a circuit breaker not a fuse that controls the Wipers.
No.
the BA-10/5 transmission (made by Peugeot) found in early 87-mid 89 Comanche and Cherokee with L6, 4.0 L engine specifies 4.9 PINTS (2.45 qt) of 80wt. GL-4 specification
Should go to the relay in the relay box. The diagram in cover should tell you which one it it. Cross terminal 30 and 87, if the compressor doesnt click then its a wiring fault. Trace voltage back using the other terminals from the switch. Hope this helps
no.
It sure will, as long as the engines are the same
If you have a 4 pin relay marked in clockwise rotation as 87-85-30-86 jump the terminal sockets corresponding to 30 and 87.For a complete understanding of how relays work, view the first 4 videos on this site.http://mikestrawbridge.com/blog/2009/09/how-to-jump-the-fuel-pump-relay-on-a-jeep-cherokee-xj/
