On a sunny day the air pressure is at or around about 14.1 lbs/in^2 where as on a rainy day it will be somewhat lower at around about 13.78 lbs/in^2 or lower. The weather is determined by the elevation being above or below sea level. Hence when it rains the elevation is below sea level which results in the drop of atmospheric pressure.
Early in the day, the land is quite cold as it has lost its heat overnight. Therefore it is more dense and has a greater air pressure. However, as the day progresses, the air above the land will be very hot, less dense, and hence have a lower pressure. As a result, the air above the ocean has a greater air pressure later in the day.
On a windy day atmospheric pressure decreases because the higher the wind velocity, the lower the air pressure, or atmospheric pressure. This is how chimneys work, the air that moves above the chimney causes low air pressure because of the high wind velocity compared the velocity of the air inside a house. The air inside the house goes towards the low air pressure and takes the smoke with it.

When the temperature begins to drop, molecules in the air start to condense and become less excited. Condensed molecules create more pressure than the excited molecules in warm air. This causes the air pressure to be higher on really cold days.

If the air pressure drops largely, there will be rain and/or a thunderstorm. If the air pressure drops not so much, it will be partly cloudy and/or breezy. If the air pressure barely drops, and stays more of a high air pressure, it will be sunny and calm. If the air pressure is about in the middle of the Anemometer, it will be partly cloudy.
