Skylanders Giants is a different video game to Spyro's Adventure, however you can use your original Portal of power in the new game. Also, all Skylanders characters from the original game will work in the new Giants game. However, the totally new characters in the Giants game including all the actual Giants and LightCore figures will not play in the old game. Only those reposed series 2 figures produced for the Giants game, but we're also in the Spyro's Adventure game, will play in the original game. Check the packaging on the side of the new Giants figures and there is a diagram tha shows which games the figure will play in.
