B1S1means...B1 means the side of the V6,V8,V10 engines where is situated the number 1 cylinder. B2 means the other side of the V6, V8, V10 engine. On straight line engine they only use B1. S1 means the sensor upstream or before the catalyst converter and S2 means the sensor after the catalytic converter.
O2 sensor CKT slow response (bank 1 sensor 1). Sounds like a tired B1S1 O2 sensor if all the connections are good.
The O2 sensor on a Toyota Corolla is located on the exhaust manifold. The O2 sensor properly reads the air fuel ratio to tell the engine how much fuel to use.
A B1S1 O2 sensor would be threaded into the exhaust system between the catalytic converter and the engine.
The check engine code PO136 means the O2 sensor circuit malfunction
What engine do you have 1.6 or 1.8? On the 1.8 the first O2 is in the front middle of the engine about 1-2 feet down the exhaust system. I believe the 2nd O2 is after Cat. convertor.
It screwed in to the exhaust manifold. To change it you unplug the sensor and unscrew it with an O2 sensor socket.
That would be the O2 sensor after the catalytic converter.
The bank 1, sensor 3, O2 sensor would be the O2 sensor post cat.
The upstream O2 sensor is mounted in the ehxaust manifold The downstream O2 sensor is mounted in the exhaust pipe after the catalytic converter
It is the O2 sensor screwed into the front of the catalytic converter
