where is the crank position sensor located on 2003 kia Rio 1.8
Behind the timing chain cover
there is not one. it is computer run thru cam shaft sensor and crankshaft sensor. but no distributor.
unfortunately the sensor is behind the plastic cover on the front of the engine and just above the crank shaft
The cam sensor ranges from $125 to $160 plus tax at most auto parts stores.
Trouble code P0715 means: Turbine/Input Shaft Speed Sensor Circuit
always remove battery terminal when replacing sensors. That is your reset.
The speed sensor is located on the backside of the front wheel hubs. They read using the gear ring on the axle shaft.
IAm looking for the answer for this one need help finding sesor the cam shaft sensor is on the back of the motor at the fire wall
Yes, a crank sensor is one of the major sensors used to control engine timing and cylinder firing.
may not have been problem. remember you have a camshaft sensor, crankshaft sensor but most importantly the timing belt alignment .if it is worn or jumped a tooth will give same problem.Let me know what you have done to determine it is the cam shaft that needed to be replaced ?
