Not 100% but if you open the fuse panel door just to the left and below the steering wheel, it looks like a computer diagnostic plug can be found there.
were is the computer test plug on the 94 mercury sable ?
There isn't. There are only diagnostic plugs on 94 and up
The engine diagnostic plug is under the hood next to the battery. The body, transmission, abs diagnostic plug is under the dash on the driver side, next to the fuse box.
Should be a port inside under dash where you plug in a code reader.
You may have to find a thin-walled spark plug socket.
The scanner plug in is under the dash on the drivers side and is the OBD1 system
the 91-94 sentra has a timing chain
behind the ashtray 2x2 pin, if not possibly behind the heat/hot air inlet.
You need an OBD1 diagnostic tool that hooks up under the dash to a large computer plug. However, your lebaron displays fault codes as a series of flashing lights. This link tells you how to read em and what they are.. http://www.knizefamily.net/minimopar/fault/index.html?b1b90a68
this happened with my 94 sentra just before the alternator died... i would take it to a parts store and have them test the battery and alternator.
Owner's manual.
yes the trans is the same in all 91-94 for the 1.6L motor
