Bottom of the coolant reservoir.
Does it say Engine Prot? means that you might be low on fluids such as coolant and the longer you run with it it, it will start to slow down the engine until u stall out....happen to my cat c7 in my freightliner. and it turns out i blew my cooling system.
what is coolant capacity for cat c12 diesel engine
Depends on which engine it has in it. For that MY, you might have a Cummins 6BT, 3116 Cat, 3126 Cat...
Drain the coolant, remove the alternator and the etc. sensor hose from the reservoir. Remove the housing and replace the thermostat.
Blocked cat convertor or cam sensor. If it is the cam sensor the orange engine light should be on. If there is no engine light on its probably the cat convertor.
On the Minivan it is the sensor in the exhaust on the back of the engine in the exhaust manifold. On an Intrepid/LHS/Concorde it is the pass side above cat oxygen sensor. On the Minivan it is the sensor in the exhaust on the back of the engine in the exhaust manifold. On an Intrepid/LHS/Concorde it is the pass side above cat oxygen sensor.
Bank 2 indicates the cylinders that are evenly numbered on the engine. Trace coil/plug wires and one or the other will usually get you to the correct side (Cylinders 2,4,6.) Sensor two indicates the second sensor in the exhaust system. Sensor one is usually between the cat converter and the engine (pre cat), and sensor 2 is usually after the cat (post cat).
Bank one is simply the side of the engine with the number one cylinder. In this case it is the right side of the engine up against the fire wall. If you go under the vehicle you will see the exhaust coming down from behind the engine. There will be one sensor in front of the cat and one after. The sensor before is called bank 1 sensor 1, the sensor after the cat which you are looking for is called bank 1 sensor 2.
Generally there are two O2 sensors, 1 before the cat and 1 after. However, I have a 95 Cirrus LX and both are before the cat. If your looking from underneath the car where both sensors are before the cat, the first sensor you see from underneath as you follow the exhaust pipe will be sensor #2. If your check engine light is on, using a scan tool, it will give you the code for which sensor is faulty. Bank 1 Sensor 1 equals the first sensor closest to the engine, Bank 1 Sensor 2 equals the second sensor furthest from the engine or closest to the cat.
Bank 1 = The side of the engine the Number 1 cylinder is on Sensor 1 = between engine and catalitic converter Sensor 2 = After cat...
The MAP/Boost Sensor of a Cat C7 engine is located on the driver's side of the engine near the back side. It is next to the valve cover in the intake manifold.
at the back of the engine, screwed into the exhaust manifold
