what vehicle
most manufacturers listed cylinder 1 as nearest to the front of a vehicle or nearest the left hand side.... so 5 would be the fifth one back from the front or to the right counting from extreme left.
to be really helpful, some manufacturers list number one as nearest the bulkhead or furthest from front... even nearest the right
you need to specify the engine / vehicle model but if in doubt I would go for nearest front or left and count from there
The 3.7 Liter engine is an inline 5 cylinder.
The 3.7 Liter is an inline 5 cylinder engine.
I know of no Ford 4.2 liter inline 6 ever made. Ford made a 2.4, 2.8, 3.3, 3.9, 4.1, 4.3, & 4.9 liter but I have never seen or heard of a 4.2 liter inline 6. The firing order is more than likely 1-5-3-6-2-4
On inline engines such as the Mercedes 5 cylinder engine, the number one cylinder is at the front of the engine (where the pulleys and belts are), and the cylinders are then numbered sequentially toward the rear of the engine, i.e. 1 2 3 4 5. The number 5 cylinder on your MB 2.4 liter 5 cylinder would be the one at the engine's rear.
It is an inline 5 cylinder.
No , the 1.9 liter 4 cylinder , the 2.4 liter 5 cylinder , and the 2.5 liter 5 cylinder engines in a 2004 Volvo S40 are not interference engines
IN-LINE? WHAT MODEL CHEVY? The 1992 Chevy 4.3 Liter is a V6 and not an inline 6. The firing order is 1-6-5-4-3-2
Yes a H3 Hummer has a inline 5 cylinder engine which has 5 pistons.
Neither, its an inline 5 cylinder
Cylinder #1 would be the one closest to the radiator.
As far as I know, the 1987 Chevrolet G10 Van did not come with a 250 Inline 6 cylinder, and I have never seen one in this year model van. The only 6 installed was the 4.3 liter V6. The firing order of the 4.3 is 1-6-5-4-3-2. There was a 292 Inline 6 cylinder installed in the fullsize pickup that year and the firing order for it and the 250 inline 6 cylinder are the same at 1-5-3-6-2-4.
4.9 liter inline 6 cylinder is 1-5-3-6-2-4 rotor turns clockwise. 5.0 liter V8 is 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8 5.8 liter V8 is 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8 rotor turns counterclockwise.
