Manual has no dipstick. Auto is near the firewall.
You add the trans fluid where the dipstick is at, if it is a manual then you will have to go under the car where the transmission is find the check level plug on the transmission loosen the plug and stick your pinky in it if fluid touches the pinky then your good if not add the fluid there!
pull the tranny dipstick out and add the fluid through the dipstick tube.
You can check the fluid in your 1995 Chevy Cavalier transmission with the transmission dipstick. The transmission dipstick will be on the left-hand side of the transmission and have a bright yellow handle.
Fluid is added through the transmission dipstick tube. use a funnel to pour fluid into the tube slowly then check with the dipstick to prevent overfilling.
If it is a Manual transmission you do not have a dipsticks.
If it is an automatic transmission, you add transmission fluid with a long funnel through the dipstick opening.
The automatic transmission fluid level dipstick is towards the passenger side of the engine , near the firewall . Pull out the dipstick and use a funnel
Remove the transmission dipstick and read what it says on the stick, it will tell you what fluid to use.
