If your asking where "emo" origanally started it was in the 60's with a band called Rites of Spring. It's a mixture of goth and punk combined.

dont just come up to your parent and say i want to be emo just start out slow start dressing emo and listening to emo music your parents will most likely not like it at first but they will grow used to it but never come out to your parents and say your emo cause must parents dont react well to this
