I know that the one for EFI is inside the tank. Connected to the fuel regulator. Attached under the tank cover, There's also a pre-filter screen on the fuel pump that can use a cleaning with compressed air.
This is a good time to change the hoses in the tank. My Deuce was losing power. One of the hoses had a hole worn in the side from rubbing the inside of the tank. Very common problem. They now use a shorter replacement hose. I do a lot of wrenching on my bike but this is one I'd suggest for the Tech. It's just a pain and one of those job I'd rather pay someone to do.
how do you install a fuel filter on an 04 kia Rio
The fuel filter is in the gas tank on the end of the fuel pump.
You don't have a fuel filter on a 2004 Honda accord ,its in the fuel tank itself and not a separate fuel filter,
In the fuel tank
You don't change it. It is a permanent filter in the fuel tank.
Because the fuel filter is located inside the fuel tank and is part of the fuel pump module. The fuel filter by itself is not serviceable.
Isn't one
You do not need to change the fuel filter at all unless the pump fails. Then you change it. And yes, you must drop the tank.
If you have an access plate you should not hae to remove fuel tank. Most vehicles do not have an access plate
Beginning in '04, the fuel filter on the Avy was relocated to inside the fuel tank. According to GM, periodic maintenance of the filter is no longer necessary. (Not sure about that one myself, still seems like it'd be a good idea to replace filter every so often.) The '04s and later require dropping the tank to replace the filter/pump.
a little less then a 1/8 of a inch
it is located under the drivers side cab on the indside of the frame I have a 04 Sierra SLE single cab and I could not find the gas filter, why?
