It is located in the gas tank
No, they're not the same fuel pump. The V8 requires more fuel pressure than the V6. Besides you would not want to install a used fuel pump. Way too much trouble to trust to a used part.
It Is Inside The Gas Tank. You Will Have To Remove The Tank To Install a New One. Suggest You Get A Garrage To Do This. Its A Bit Nasty And Dfficult To Do.
91 octane or higher
On a 1991 Camaro Z28 with a 350 V8 engine, the relay for the fuel pump is typically located in the under-hood fuse and relay center. This relay is usually found near the driver's side of the engine compartment, close to the battery. To identify it, refer to the diagram on the cover of the fuse box, which will indicate the specific location of the fuel pump relay.
In the fuel tank.
fuel pump for v6 will not supply enough fuel for a v8. they are calibrated to supply different amounts of fuel at different pressure It depends on the year and fuel system. I know better. I have been with Gm for 22 years. I have a v6 4.3 fuel pump out of a 90 s15 in my 89 silverado with the 5.7 350 v8 and its just fine, look it up, its the same part number. it even fits a 7.4 chevy and a 5.0 and a 2.5
I'm Pretty sure the Z28 has to have 58lbs of pressure. That could be causing your problem.
it sounds like a bad ignition module.
The electric fuel pump is inside the fuel tank
