the 1986-87 lg4 engine had a mechanical fuel pump and an electric in tank pump.
Its inside the fuel tank. You can either drop the tank and pull it out or cut a hole through the back deck lid. That's what i would do.
Check for proper installation of fuel pump and filter.
Hmm, did you look along the firewall?
You can reset the fuel pump shut-off switch (which can activate on impact/collision/hard 4x4ing etceteras) by looking under the passenger side carpeting toward the upper edge of the carpeting.
On a 1986 Lincoln Mark VII, the fuel pump switch, also known as the inertia switch, is typically located in the trunk area. Specifically, it can be found on the driver's side, near the rear seat or behind the trim panel. This switch is designed to cut off the fuel pump in case of an accident. Always refer to the vehicle's service manual for precise locations and troubleshooting steps.
If the engine is fuel injected, it is an electric pump and is located in the fuel tank. If not, it is located on the engine block and is a mechanical pump.
