If you still need to know the crank sensor is located on the front side of the engine mounted just behind the harmonic balancer. That would mean the side of the engine with the belts and behind the big pulley at the bottom of the engine. Hope that helps.

On a 1999 Camaro, the map sensor is located on the back of the intake manifold. The intake manifold is the series of tubing that distributes the air coming into the engine.
The engine cover should have it displayed.

On the 97 s series trucks, The crankshaft sensor is located on the lower left "from front of engine" timing cover behind the dampner pulley.
the fans are operated by means of a series of relays which are turned on or off by the engine computer. the engine coolant temp sensor that sends its signal to the engine computer is what indirectly turns on the fans. if there is no check engine light for a coolant temp. sensor code, the problem lies in the fans themselves, or the relays and related wiring.
