How do you take care of painted turtles?

First of all, make sure that you have a 12 gallon aquarium ready for a baby turtle and the food can be found cheap at pet stores or Gerkins. It needs some land so that it can bask and sleep. Love the turtle and make sure it is happy or it will die. They are easy and low maintenance pets, and really cute. Remember to clean the tank once a month if it has a filter, and once a week if it doesn't. My turtle lives in 11 inch deep water and he is the happiest little guy. Make sure to do more research. Good luck and have fun with your turtle!

Can you grow gerkins?

Yes, gherkins (Cucumis sativus L. [Gherkin]) can be grown.Specifically, plant gherkin seeds vertically, in groups of 6, about one-half inch down in 3-4 inch (7.62 - 10.16 centimeter) pots in early spring. The seeds grow best if they are planted within a one inch (2.54 centimeter) layer of compost that tops the potted soil. Keep the temperatures at 60 degrees F/15.5 degrees C. Water just enough to keep the first inch (2.54 centimeters) of soil moist but not waterlogged. Do not set the plants or plant outside until after the last frost date. Pick once the gherkins reach their desired length of 4 inches (10.16 centimeters), no later than 90 days after planting.
