Alongside the clutch (well, in a right hand drive car it is) up alongside the edge of the transmission tunnel, a small 'button' switch - click it once to turn on, and again to turn off. Obviously on a left hand drive car its on the other side, but still again right alongside the transmission tunnel.
The Morris 1100 is basically the same wiring system as all BMC cars. It is a very straightforward wiring system with 3 fuses in total. If you are having problems sorting wires out, it is easier to open the loom up. With the lights you have a high beam lead, low beam lead from dip-switch to lights. The high beam will connect to the high beam dash light and the flasher switch on the indicator stalk. The main feed is from the light switch to the dip switch. Every item has a different colour: ie. Blue/Red for hi beam and Blue/White for low beam. Have you tried your local library?

The 1973 VW Beetle low beam switch can be found on the drivers side floorboard. The low beam switch will be all the way to the left of the drivers side floor.
you will probably have to replace the headlight switch.

There are three headlight settings on your headlight switch. You can turn the low beam headlights on by turning the headlight switch.

You can,t switch between high and low beam in DRL mode. Only when you turn on the headlights with the HL switch.

It is on the signal light switch. Pulling it toward you will change from High to Low beam lights and vice-versa 7T77T7
The switch or the relay, check the cheapest, or simplest thing first, which could be the relay, but the symptom points more to the switch.
