Leprechauns carry pots of gold with them.

Absolutely. Would'nt you be if you had pots of gold?
Guarding their pots of gold. But mainly they make shoes.
It's an Irish myth that if you find the end of the rainbow, they give you that as a prize.
A pot of gold is a legendary treasure often associated with leprechauns in Irish folklore. According to legend, leprechauns hide their pots of gold at the end of a rainbow, which can never be reached as the rainbow moves. It symbolizes luck, magic, and a reward at the end of a difficult journey.
Remote places are safe from humans and other things and therefore ideal for guarding pots of gold.
Well the legend of the rainbow and the pot of gold at one end dates back to the 14th century Catholics. The leprechauns would put their gold in black pots and put a rainbow on top of it so that he wouldn't lose it (Not knowing that humans can see rainbows). Most often, when lucky peasants were to find these pots of gold at the end of rainbows, the amount of gold would vary. The usual amount of gold a leprechaun would store in these pots was around 100 gold coins. If it was an upper class leprechaun he would store not only up to 1,000 gold coins, but also his luckiness. Hope this helps
the rumor that they have only one pot is a myth, the leprechauns want you to think they only have one pot so when you catch them you only ask for a single pot of gold in exchange for their freedom when in reality they probably have multiple pots of gold.
i have no clue, maybe its something about how they are found at the end of the rainbow with a pot of gold... i guess they are little tiny people that are magic or whatever. (u believe in those anyway)
