Although there are probably several mountains with the name Mount Scott, one of the better known is certainly Mount Scott in Crater Lake National Park in Oregon. Mount Scott is a small, extinct volcano on the southeast side of Crater Lake. At 8934ft, it is the highest point in Crater Lake National Park. A 2.5 mile trail climbs 1479ft from Rim Drive to the summit of Mount Scott. Mount Scott is known for its excellent, bird's-eye view of Crater Lake and the surrounding area. Mount Shasta, Mount McLaughlin, Upper Klamath Lake, Mount Thielsen, Mount Bailey, Diamond Lake, Diamond Peak, and the Three Sisters are also visible from the summit of Mount Scott.
