in front of the cat sensor 2 is after the cat
Sensor 1 is before the cat
Bank one refers to side where ! 1 cylinder is and the sensor 2 is the rearmost(at the converter outlet).
it should be the bank facing the front of the car in the manifold. you should be able to find it right in front when open the hood
its the 1 on the exhaust manifold pointing out towards the front of the car. i just replaced it on mine
That is the pre - cat 02 oxygen sensor.
Bank 1 Sensor 2 is located on the Right Hand Bank - After the catalytic converter. Meaning its on the bank closest to the firewall and after the catalytic converter. Call any Mitsubishi dealer and they will tell you where its @.

bank 1 is the first oxygen sensor coming down from the engine. bank 2 is the one furthur back installed into the exhaust system. if bank 1 gooes, your ar will ride horrible. f bank 2 goes, it will run alright but you will be buring alot of fuel and losing soe power
the part number should be md354851. the Mitsubishi suggested retail price is 167.77. Keep in mind it is always a good idea to check the part number with your local Mitsubishi dealership. Have your vin number ready cause most likely they will be asking for it.
