Need engine size.
There is no inertia switch on the Chevy truck it runs from the ecm , oil pressure switch and relay.
It is behind the distributor on the engine block. Not easy to get to, but it can be done.
It is screewed into the top of the engine block right behind the distributor.
1. Bad pressure switch. 2. Bad pressure switch pigtail. 3. The system is low on freon.
Chevy trucks do not have an Inerita switch. Only ford.
there is a second oil pressure switch that shuts off the fuel pump if theres not enough oil pressure
oil pressure switch or knock sensor
The oil pressure switch is located at the back of the engine next to the distributor. Looking at it from the front of truck it will be right of distributor. Normally it can be changed without removing the distributor.
The 1974 Chevy truck has a mechanical fuel pump with a built in pressure regulator.
It seems reasonable to assume that the low-pressure switch opens the circuit to the Compressor/Clutch when it senses low pressure in the system. So higher pressure must close it, making it a normally-open switch. Nevin Hawlman GardenGrapevine.com
It does not have one. Chevy did not use them on there trucks.
No it does not.
