With Vista the Run and the Search functions are in the same place. At the bottom of the Start Menu is a text entry box. As soon as you start typing something in here, options appear above on the Start Menu that match what you have typed.
If you start typing the name of a file stored on the computer, this should be in the list above. It is the same for programs and previously visited websites.
If you are typing a command (such as taskmgr for example), simply type the entire command and hit enter. The result will be the same as if you had used the Run option on Windows XP.

Vista does not have a dedicated Run prompt. To launch a program, type its name into the Search bar in the Start menu.
Most DOS games (and no doubt yours) do not work properly in Vista's command prompt. You can, however, still play them in an emulator, such as DOSBox.

If i am not mistaken there isn't a run key on a keyboard the run key is found under the start if you have windows xp an under the window icon if you have vista.
